Who I Am

My name is Raul, and plumbing has been a steady part of my life for more than twenty years. After completing my active service in the United States Marine Corps in 2003, I came home unsure of what direction to take next. A few weeks later, I began working alongside my parents and other family members at a local plumbing company. I started as a helper and learned the trade step by step, doing whatever was needed and earning my place through hard work.

I’ve lived in North Port for over 20 years, and this community has truly become home for me and my family.

Growing in the Plumbing Trade

I was fortunate to grow within that company, eventually running my own jobs and gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of plumbing work. When the Great Recession hit, I saw firsthand how much the trades depend on reliability, dedication, and mutual trust. I stayed with the team through those difficult years and was grateful to have steady work throughout that time.

Family, Education & Finding My Path

While raising my family, I also pursued my education. I went back to college in 2012 when my daughter was born, earned my Associate’s degree in 2014, and later completed my Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2017. My son was born the following year.
For a time, I considered entering the medical field, but after completing all the prerequisites, I realized it wasn’t where my passion was. Plumbing has always felt like home — honest work, meaningful results, and the chance to help people directly.

Outside of work, I stay involved in the community as an assistant coach for our local competitive girls’ soccer program, where my daughter plays. Coaching has been a great way to support young athletes and stay connected to local families.

Launching Freedom Plumbing Services

I became a licensed plumber on June 16, 2022, and officially incorporated Freedom Plumbing Services LLC on May 16, 2023. My goal wasn’t to build a large company — just one that treats people fairly, communicates clearly, and takes pride in doing the job right.

Today, I’m grateful for every homeowner, business owner, and property manager who trusts me with their plumbing needs. I approach every job with the same mindset: deliver quality workmanship, be honest, and treat every customer the way I would want my own family to be treated.
